RELAX

When things start to pile up to the point where I’m so overwhelmed I don’t know what to do next, start wondering how/if I can do it all, my head feels ready to explode & I’m on complete overload I have to tell myself, “JUST.STOP.NOW,” sit still and inhale on the count of 8, hold it for a count of 8 & exhale for a count of 8. This forces more much needed Oxygen into our brain & allows us to calm down, interrupt “squirrel mind” & regroup.
And then I remind myself what my wonderful wise Stepdaughter said many years ago when she was working full time & going to grad school. She said, “DON’T THINK ABOUT IT, JUST DO IT.” I have carried that advice with me over the years & every time I reach that point where I’ve hit the Wall of No Return & my brain feels like it’s flying apart in all directions I remind myself to follow her advice. We humans can complicate a free meal if we let ourselves get into a tizzy when we get jammed up so we need to remember to KISS–Keep It Simple Stupid–and don’t overthink.  
If I just start by DOING SOMETHING–ONE THING–instead of THINKING about it ALL–I can break it down into DOING increments instead of THINKING incidents and before I know it I’ve gotten it done. BREATHE, DONT THINK & JUST DO IT. Wise words.
